I’ve gotten a number of really cool responses about Starpires both on the Starpires Facebook Page and in email over the past week.  Thanks, I love hearing these, as a lot has gone into Starpires the past few months, so seeing people enjoying it really makes my day.

I just wanted to say thank you. Me and all my friends are hooked. I’m sure it’ll pass (sorta like it did when bash.org got a tradewars server up 5 years ago) but for now, it’s a wonderful addiction! 

I don’t remember if the original SRE had these sorts of things, but a “wall” or something for trash talking would be cool. As well as a “trade market” where you can offer up things and/or barter for things, although this could lead to untoward collusion. Other things like a “galactic lottery” and wagering on battle outcomes would be cool too, and decent ways of generating revenue.

Anyway, just some ideas. I’m sure I’ll have more. 

Regardless, thanks so much! It’s a real blast from the past.

I wanted to take a moment to say “Thank you.” I’ve really been enjoying playing Starpires and it has brought me back to the old BBS days of SRE and BRE. I’m enjoying watching the drama unfold in the galaxy and balance building my resources carefully. Thank you greatly for the time and effort you’ve put into this.
